Reed Kessler
Reed’s parents have been riding for over 35 years and so naturally, she was born into a ‘horsey’ family. Being able to ride before she could walk was never in doubt.
Their love of horses is what makes the Kessler family so close. Reed and her mom, Teri, took care of their pony and horse in the backyard during Reed’s childhood and her desire to become a Grand Prix rider grew from there. Reed had plenty of success as a junior and young rider, primarily taking off from her win in the 2012 Olympic Trials and appearance on the London Olympic team.
After seven years of incredible learning at Katie Prudent’s, Reed moved to Germany to train with Marcus Ehning. She now lives close to Maastricht in the Netherlands where she has started up her own yard. Reed hopes to keep working towards more championship teams and medals.
