Bertram Allen
International Showjumper, Bertram Allen, is one of the youngest ever stars of the sport. He started his interest in horses at just eight years of age and has not stopped since. His father had an interest in horses and supported Bertram right up through the ranks.
He competed successfully in the Pony circuit in Ireland from 12.2 up to 14.2. At the age of 16, he decided to spend some time at a yard in Germany and he never left. He is now based in his yard in Hünxe.
Bertram would say the most influential people in his career have been Irish equestrians Con Power and Billy Twomey. Despite his young age, Bertram has already achieved what others only dream of in a career. The future is exciting for Bertram Allen and Connolly’s RED MILLS are delighted to be involved with such a motivated, hard working sportsperson.
